Project Settings - Tax Tables Set Up 

Sales Tax - USA / HST | PST | GST - Canada


Application of Sales Tax During Individual Inputs 
  • Each Input Dialog in T&M Pro has a Sales Tax Application Feature, as shown in the example below:

  • To apply sales tax to a single item, check the box specific to your country; click again to uncheck.

  • Checking the box applies the Tax value percentage defined in your Project Settings File


Setting Up Tax Tables:

Taxes can be applied to a Single Item , Multiple Items or ALL Items using the Sales Tax Set Up function in your Project Settings File




To ADD or MODIFY a Tax Percentage, open your Project Settings File interface and follow the guide below:

  • Click on Open Sales Tax Dialog, as shown above 

  • Click to highlight the category you want to ADD or MODIFY tax values for

  • Click on the MODIFY Button to open the Tax Setup Dialog

  • From the drop list, select an individual category that these rates will apply to, or select ALL Categories

  • Enter the tax percentage values in the appropriate boxes

  • Click ENTER to apply the new values to the selected item; repeat for individual items

  • Click CLOSE once all changes have been made

  • Click CLOSE to exit the Tax Tables dialog

  • On the bottom of the Project Settings page, click ENTER and CLOSE to record the changes



To Remove a Tax Rate - Enter 0.00 then Click ENTER


Tax Tables can be Imported from, or Exported to Excel by following the guide below.
To Import Tax Tables
  1. Users can Import Tax Tables from an Excel® spreadsheet by clicking on the Import button in the Setup dialog:

  2. The spreadsheet must be specifically formatted to be successfully imported. (see instructions below)

  3. NOTE: Importing a new Tax Table from Excel will overwrite the previous tax settings.



To Export Tax Tables:
  1. Users can Export a Tax Table to Excel® to make modifications or save a copy outside of T&M Pro

  2. If you need a pre-formatted Blank Template, click the MODIFY button, select All Categories, then set ALL values to 0.00%

  3. Click on the EXPORT button, then name the file BLANK_Tax_Table

  4. You now have a properly formatted blank tax table template that you can use for future projects



Excel® Exported Spreadsheet Example:
  1. Below is an example of an exported of Tax Table: values can be ADDED, MODIFIED or REMOVED in Excel

  2. The Header values in Line 1 CANNOT be modified, or it won't be successfully Imported back into the program
